Floorball goalkeeper – technique, tactics, fitness. This is the exact title of the new methodological book for floorball coaches, or of course for goalkeepers themselves who are interested in improving. The book is based primarily on the experience of Finnish goalkeepers, but is also supplemented with knowledge from the domestic Czech goalkeeping school and includes a number of special training exercises for goalkeepers, including detailed photographs.
When asked how often coaches prepare training for goalkeepers, most coaches answer that they do not do training for goalkeepers and do not understand this part of floorball very well. If everyone approached the training of goalkeepers in this way, it would be impossible to raise quality goalkeepers. The new methodological book is for all coaches who want to improve in this area and after reading this book they will no longer be afraid to include at least two exercises focused on goalkeeper activities in at least two training sessions a week.
The manual is divided into three basic parts. The first describes individual important activities depending on the period of the annual training cycle, the second part is dedicated to an area that is extremely important for goalkeepers - stretching, and the third part provides direct inspiration for training exercises.
The educational book Floorball Goalkeeper – Technique, Tactics, Fitness was based on Finnish methodological material, which was based on the practical knowledge of Finnish goalkeepers such as Markus Suntila, Timo Ketonen, Jussi Heikkonen. This text was supplemented with the knowledge and experience of Czech goalkeepers, players and coaches. Thanks for this cooperation go to Zdeněka Chybová, Maria Jestříbková, Tomáš Kafka, Roman Slavík, Martin Zich, Petr Ďarmek, Petr Harapát and David Zlatník. At the same time, the authors would like to thank the management of the Hamr Sports Complex in Prague Bráník, where the photos for this book, which were taken and edited by Ondřej Klíma, were created.
