Optilight blade

The Oxdog OptiLight floorball blade is exactly what it says, a really light blade. Its weight is only 65 grams. But of course, the emphasis is not only on weight, the OptiLight is also really good at controlling the ball. After all, that is why it was created. The Oxdog OptiLight has a concavity of 9 mm. The cavity extends evenly from the heel to the tip. The entire blade is also pre-curved. This pre-curve starts just before the middle of the rib and goes towards the tip of the blade. The tip then curves inward very slightly.

The ribbing, as well as the bottom edge and tip, is taken from the Oxdog Avox. Especially the ribbing in the heel and the bottom of the blade. Thanks to the fact that the cavity on the OptiLight is slightly smaller than on the Avox blade, ball handling is much easier and more precise. The aforementioned ribbing gives the blade high rigidity, thanks to which the blade can transfer energy to the ball well and at the same time provide you with highly accurate shooting. So the shots are fast and accurate!

The pre-curve of the blade causes the back side to be significantly bent. The blade already twists from half its length. This of course affects the backhand game. The blade does not provide enough surface for the backhand, so it is not 100% suitable for it. However, the blade compensates for this with its forehand game, especially with pull shots!

The OptiLight blade stands out mainly for its weight. OptiLight is a light and stiff blade with which you can perfectly control the ball. Only 65 grams makes it by far the lightest blade from the OXDOG brand. It is a slightly pre-curved blade, with a medium concavity. It has a solid heel and a well-moldable tip, so it can be bent well according to the player's needs. We would recommend the blade to players who like to play with the ball and especially to shooters with a stroke.
