Salming Recoil Trail are direct successors of the proven Salming Trail 5 and Salming Trail 6 trail shoes. The previous generations earned their popularity mainly due to the optimal mix of comfort and functionality. The latest addition to the Trail model line also ranks among the universal trail shoes, whose properties you will appreciate both during long runs in the mountains and when in the "urban jungle" you have to combine running on hard asphalt and natural trails in the park or forest.

The most important part of the Salming Recoil Trail model remains the Vibram sole, which works perfectly with the cushioning layer made of premium Recoil foam. The Vibram MegaGrip sole itself has a not-so-high pattern, which adds to the versatility of the shoes, and especially a unique grip that will hold you even in really slippery conditions. The Recoil cushioning layer is mainly responsible for your comfort, and although it is sufficiently cushioned even for really long runs, you don't have to worry that it would not be ideally stable and offer active rebound.

The upper of the shoes has been completely redesigned compared to the past. It is now made of a strong polyester knit, enriched with a layer of durable polyurethane mixture. This has both a protective function, protecting the foot and the shoes themselves in the most susceptible parts against tearing, and a stabilizing function, the main task of which is to keep the feet in the right direction.

The Salming Recoil Trail model is one of the so-called universal trail shoes. Thanks to the tread height and the unique grip of the Vibram Megagrip sole, it will hold you in any weather conditions in the terrain, but at the same time you will not feel uncomfortable in them even when running over a firmer natural or even asphalt surface.

For beginners and advanced users

The Salming Recoil Trail model will appeal to both beginners and advanced runners. While the less experienced will appreciate the friendly cushioning height and overall comfort of the shoe, the more advanced will fully enjoy the great grip of the Vibram Megagrip sole and the excellent energy return offered by the Recoil cushioning compound.

Two layers for maximum comfort and stability

The upper of the Salming Recoil Trail model consists of two layers. The first of them is an ideally strong polyester knit, which is reinforced around the entire circumference of the shoe by the second layer - a polyurethane protective strip RocShield. It is also responsible for stabilizing the foot in the shoes in key areas, thus increasing the comfort and functionality of the shoes.

Heel cup - the heel cup in our shoes is designed so that it does not increase the weight of the shoes and does not interfere with the overall feeling of comfort in the shoe, but at the same time fulfills its function, which is to stabilize and fix the foot in the shoe.

Natural and efficient forefoot movement

The upper of the shoes is expanded in the toe area with TOE BOX technology to provide enough space for the movement of the forefoot, thus supporting their more natural and efficient movement from a biomechanical perspective.

Midsole - shoe cushioning

The premium Recoil™ material used in the midsole helps cushion hard impacts. Compared to classic EVA foam, it absorbs negative forces better during landing and, conversely, returns demonstrably more energy during rebound.

Even more comfort

SoftFOAM is a special insert in the heel area, which is made of a material capable of even better reducing the negative effects of impacts in this part of the shoe. The specially developed mixture of materials has a 70% better ability to absorb these unwanted forces compared to regular EVA foam. The interaction of SoftFOAM and Recoil materials ensures a comfortable and at the same time efficient run.

Sole - the sole of the shoe

Comfort on impact, efficiency on rebound

The TGS 62/75° technology divides the sole of the shoe into 2 parts. The first part – from the heel to the ball of the foot – makes up approximately 62% of the sole area, and is designed with maximum stability and impact absorption in mind. It is separated from the second part – the front part of the sole – by the so-called ballet line, which is guided by the sole at an angle of 75°. This division ensures that the shoe bends in exactly the right place to stimulate the natural lateral and front-to-back movements of the feet. The front part of the shoe is then designed for maximum rebound efficiency when running.

Durability and extra good grip in any conditions

The Recoil Trail's outsole is called Vibram™ Megagrip and is one of the key factors that makes it a true trail shoe. In addition to very good abrasion resistance, it also offers excellent grip in both dry and wet conditions, reliably holding its user in place with every step.

The Salming Recoil Trail women's universal trail shoes are new for the 2022 season. The new generation of this time-tested trail concept once again relies primarily on the unique grip of the Vibram MegaGrip sole and the comfortable, stable cushioning provided by the premium Recoil cushioning foam.
